Another Fourth of July.  We spent the morning (during the parade) selling left overs from the concert last night.  Mid-day was spent at "the pool" eating lunch and seeing folks.  Afternoon and evening in the yard, hauling sand, making level(ish) marks, laughing at stupid things and weeding.  Now we are in the house, not willing to brave the crowd at the park, waiting for the fireworks, so we can see if we can see them from our house.  Mom is being adventurous and going to the area outside the park to sell the rest of our red, white, and blue glow sticks.  We have about 75 left out of 400.  She is so brave.  I just had a kick in the stomach (you don't really need the truth), so I am just going to lay low.  I bet she could sell them in the 30 minutes before the fireworks start.  There will be 1000s of people in the park, but there will be 100s outside.  Someone (the chamber or someone) is going to be selling single colored ones inside, so she can't go there.

Who We Are
Hope Partlow

I don't want to put on my makeup
Just like every girl in a magazine
That's not who I am when I wake up
That's not who I wanna be
There's so much more to me than meets the eye
In this life, I know one thing...

Doesn't really matter what you wear
let the people stare
cause we are who we are who we are who we are
doesn't really matter what car you drive
It's good to be alive
yeah we are who we are who we are who we are
we are

Tell me baby do I look like the real thing
or would you change the color of my eyes?
Tell me why my television's filling me with lies

Doesn't really matter what you wear
let the people stare
cause we are who we are who we are who we are
doesn't really matter what car you drive
It's good to be alive
yeah we are who we are who we are who we are

There is beauty on the inside
Yeah, you're beautiful All Right

No it doesn't really matter what you wear
let the people stare
cause we are who we are who we are who we are
It doesn't really matter what car you drive
It's good to be alive
yeah we are who we are who we are who we are

Doesn't really matter what you wear
let the people stare
It's good to be alive
good to be alive
doesn't really matter what car you drive
It's good to be alive
yeah we are who we are who we are who we are
it's good to be alive
it's good to be alive
we are

This weekend is our 4th annual
Heifer Stroll in Brattleboro. It is a crazy couple of days with Ag Summits, farm tours, bovine themed Gallery Walk, a crazy parade and ball at our local museum. There are an estimated 20,000 people going to the parade in my 12,000 person town. If you are within driving distance, you should come too.
