  • another weekend nearly gone (yes, I feel this way at 9:00 am on a Sunday) and I haven't even opened my school bag.  Report cards are going home on Thursday, and I haven't done anything yet.  I have to write a letter about the trimester a comments on each kid, on top of doing the grade.  I am glad I am not a classroom teacher, I only have to do 10.  Some of them have to do up to 35, between their 20 classroom kids and up to 15 literacy kids!

On an up note, our theater company has another murder mystery today (we did one last week).  They are paying us $500!  It is sure to be interesting.

And even better!  The snow is melting away from our yard.  It may actually be spring again someday soon.

  • Home Free!!

T and I LOVE Trading Spaces.  We watch it all the time.  I couldn't believe it when I heard about this contest.  We watched tonight.  Our favorite tonight was the work the lavender team did (although I liked the green team more) so we voted for them.  I also entered the sweepstakes, a lucky viewer will win a tool kit or something.

  • This is the table I want. This wonderful table can be found at Crate and Barrel for $1699.00.  We have no Crate and Barrel in our area, so it is another $250 for shipping.  So this lovely drop leaf extension table will be $1949.00 to get it to my house (of course we could drive over 2 hours to Boston and get it, but that's not exactly convieniant).Of course we don't have that much money kicking around either.

And we do have a dining room table.  A lovely little thing my parents let me have when I moved out.  It's an antique.  It seats 4 comfortably and 6 if you like each other.  But right now...it looks like this.  Why? You may ask. Because it is old and the screws are falling out and so the leaf is loose.  So we flipped it over and T doesn't have the right screws to fix it.  So it is staying upside down on its new blue, green and yellow table cloth.  And I am shopping online for things we can't afford.

But I have found another that I like.  And it is made here in Vermont.  But we don't know how much they are yet. They come in different sizes, woods and legs.  I would like one with round ends, but they don't seem to make one here. And if they aren't too expensive, I might get this cabinet too.But I think we might hold off on chairs for a while, we have some mismatched ones that will do for now. But I like the Vermont Mission and Vermont Country Chairs.  It gives new meaning to "Windows Shopping."  See you all later!

  • T and I saw a skunk last night at the hotel (the second time we have seen one as we were leaving a hotel).  It was a bad omen.  Tonight we came home from shopping and there was a slightly odd smell in the driveway, but nothing too bad.  But when we opened the door to the porch.  WHOA BABY!!!  Yicky gross smell.  We are hoping it is under the porch and not on it (don't know how it would have gotten on a closed porch...but it is a mess).  I am afraid to look around the porch lest I get sprayed.  Now I can't tell if the house smells bad, or if it is just my imagination.  Yuck!!  I am really not happy about this.

  • I saw this on gllady's Xanga Site, but I have been to Boy the Bear's Age Gauge before.
